I Wonder Why???

Perhaps this will sound crazy!!!

The other day I was playing with kids in my neighborhood and was trying to know their stand in their respective schools...

Few said they ranked so and so... Few skipped outta scene... And a few were not bothered....

A girl from the same gang said 'I AM OUTSTANDING'...

My cousin popped out suddenly asking her "Why do you stand outta class???", and there was a nonstop laughter!

This struck my thinking, why do people call the entity that excels - 'OUTSTANDING'... ?
